Today marks the highway point for mileage in the trip. I'm surprised how quick it has gone. I expected that I would be able to do more touristy things, like sighseeing along the way and exploring town each night. This has proven difficult though as the days and long and tiring and I don't have the energy or time to spend doing this things. Bummer, so instead I'm focusing on taking more in along the route each day.
This morning I watched the sun rise as I biked. It was great to see the first sliver of the sun as it peeked over the horizon and then quick climb up the sky.
In Sutton, Sweet Treats had hamburgers for $1.25 so I had a couple with lots of other people, and then took an hour in the park across the street to relax and recharge for the rest of the trip.
Today, unlike yesterday, we had a headwind so this slowed me down a lot. Just look at the difference in average speed from yesterday (17+) to today. This is mainly because of the difference between a headwind and tailwind.
Here you can see a local business that welcomed us.
Also, a couple fun street signs.
What a great name for a road!
