Day 8 Kennewick to Pendleton

Distance Biked Today: 67 miles

Time Spent Biking: 4:33

Avg Speed: 14 mph

Max speed: 34 mph

Total Distance Biked: 401 miles

Today was a tough day that started with a headwind. Later the wind weakened when we turned into a very wide canyon. We crossed the border into Oregon as we passed down the river. This is my first time in Oregon! I look forward to adding a couple of states to my list of places that I've been.

The scenery really changed once we turned away from the river into rolling hills of farmland.

The cycling ended for the day with fields as far as I could see of grain. Nobody light a match!

I really struggled today. I'm not sure what it was, but my muscles really burned. I think I might have pushed to hard when I was biking into the headwind.

So I took two naps (one was only a few minutes) when I got to the school in Pendleton where we were staying.

And I had ice cream three different times that day! But I also had ice cream 3 times on Saturday.
